Many people might be asking themselves: "why go through all this to win an $11,000 wedding?" It might not sound like it too many. I was in a hurricane of a relationship for a long time, I never imagined that love, respect and tenderness; would be part of my life till I met Jason. He has always tried to put the world at my feet and the stars too, but sometimes it has been very hard for him to do so. I would like to give him back just a fourth of what he has given me. I remember when I took Jason to the airport when he had to go to boot camp for the National Guard. One day I checked the mail and there was a letter from Jason. It read as follows:
"My dearest Honey Buns,
I miss you so much and there have been trying times that I have wanted to quit, but that would be like quitting on you. Then I would not be able to give you all that I would love to give you, so can you look in the closet for a box and open it. I will talk to you on Sunday. Hope you love it as much as I did, but it will never be enough for you Honey.
Love always,
Private Jason Pope"
When I opened the closet there was a box with a big bow, when I opened it I found a letter saying: "will you be mine? Open the smaller box." There I found my engagement ring. I began to cry; he called and all I could do was cry and say, yes Honey I will marry you. The only obstacle that we are facing is that his father and step-mother don't want us together, because I am not from the same ethnic background. On the other hand his mother is on our side and wants nothing more then us being together and happy. I hope that you will help me make this truly be our Dream Wedding, so when I go to Oklahoma for his graduation in April I will be able to give him good news about our wedding day.
