Amanda Croft & Riley

When you know it's meant to be, you just know. It's just this feeling you have you could never explain no matter how hard you try! And I honestly believe what Riley and I have is that once upon a time fairy tale love.

We met in high school and it's actually kind of a funny story. I always saw him around school and couldn't help but think he was cute, but never got that chance to talk to him. Then one day I ran into him at a gas station, we both happen to be going out riding that day and were filling up our bikes. I thought this would be my perfect chance to impress him! Well really since this was my first time out riding my first quad I didn't really know what I was talking about! And felt like I made more of a fool out of myself than I had impressed him. After that day it went back to just seeing him around school, and as the months went by summer came and I had pretty much given up. So that summer I was at the fair with my step brother, who is only a year younger than me, we were standing in line for something, when out of no where Riley walks up and starts talking to my brother?! Come to find out they were friends. At that point I still didn't even know his name so after he left I got all the details from my brother. Since the incident at the gas station I had no nerve to talk to him in person so I looked him up on MySpace, haha. We talked for a bit on there and he told me how he had always noticed me at school too, and how he thought me trying to look cool at the gas station was adorable (thank god!) We started hanging out and became and still are inseparable! We've now been together for 2 ½ years and hate being away from each other!

After graduating high school we decided to move to Oklahoma with my mom, there was never a doubt in my mind we would separate, I knew either he was going or I was staying! But Oklahoma wasn't for us, so we moved back to Oregon. When we moved back we were lucky to have our old place waiting for us, the fifth wheel in the back of his brother's yard. It wasn't the funniest place to live but it was ours and we wouldn't trade the memories we've made there for anything in the world! In fact just in November 2009 we were still living there when Riley proposed to me! He picked me up from work and warned me he had to light candles in the trailer because something stunk! So I guess I just thought ewww ok. When we walked in all the lights were out except the few candles so I couldn't see much. As I turned the lights on I turned around to see him on his knee and rose pedals covering our entire trailer I burst into tears as he asked me to marry him!

So here we are now finally just moved into our very own apartment trying to plan our wedding! And I can't wait to see what the future holds for us, I just know we will be there hand in hand facing it together!
